I have a two story house where the low-level is halfway in the ground. So I have concerns and want to ensure the air quality is good. To put it another way, I am the guy who is always opening windows for fresh air when the weather permits.
However, I have found this device as a since of reassurance the air is clean. The temp did take about an hour to read correctly but all the numbers seem to check out; air temp, PM2.5 , and relative humidity.

The first thing I should note is that this sensor only works for PM2.5. As I understand it it's only one component of AQI that one sees reported most of the time in the news.
As far as PM2.5, I've observed its readings over about a month and they seem to track close to the readings reported by other sources.
I keep it plugged in all the time and since it's also gives indoor temperature and humidity readings it's a good way to assess indoor air.

This is a nice air quality monitor. I like the looks of it , it just looks good and is easy to read. I tested it against a Air quality monitor on a rather expensive air filter and it read almost spot on.

+/- The monitor has no battery. A few months back I got a monitor with a battery, but the problem was the manual warned that readings were only accurate when unplugged since the power source can affect the reading. This was not good as I wanted something that I could keep on all day, every day. I got this unit precisely because it had no battery so I could leave it plugged in without affecting its accuracy or longevity. But, the way this unit achieves (I assume) accurate readings while plugged in is not through some sort of power quality filter, but simply by missing a lot of the more sensitive sensors:
- Only indicates live PM 2.5, no other air quality measurements, no data recordings of high/ low/average. For about 50% more cost you could get an air quality monitor that measures a whole lot more things like HCHO, TVOC, CO2, CO, PM 2.5 and PM 10
+ Also has temperature, humidity and time functions.
+ 3 backlight levels
- No date display

of course, the temp and humidty you can get in any meter
what u are paying here for is the pm meter...this is the amount of paticulate matter in the air, measured in ppm.
the more in the air, the more you breathe into your lungs...
this is a good indicator of the quality of the air you breathe. if the count is too high, consider a hepa filter
also if u have carpet, the count will prob. be high, as that is the price u pay for carpet, airbone fibers...

Product is a bit smaller that expected but appears to be accurate and works as the seller described, only upgrade could be a batter back up for power interruption or failure. If power is interrupted you have to reset the clock... Good Buy and works as described.
