What Should I Pay Attention to When Using WWVB Features?

Please select the correct time zone before RCC search.
Make sure your location can successfully receive the time signal, place the clock in an open place or near a window with good signal.
Please place the device more than 3.28 feet away from sources of interference such as TVs, computer, microwave, radio, etc.
Closed areas such as airports, basement, factories and areas, in which reinforced concrete was used in the walls, are not recommended.
If the RCC time signal is not received successfully and the time automatic setting fails, you can also cancel the radio reception and set the time manually.
Sometimes in extreme weather or weak signal or other disturbances appear nearby, the clock may also appear to receive the wrong time signal instruction.For more information, please refer to the WWVB web page of NIST.
After 48 hours, if the clock hasn't received the signal, or if you have any queries, problems or do not understand any parts of these instructions, please write to us.

How do atomic clocks work?

Atomic clock is an extremely accurate timepiece. Most atomic clocks in north america use WWVB's transmissions to set the correct time automatically. They can receive the time signal transmitted by the national institute of standards and technology (NIST). The NIST broadcasts the time signal (WWVB,60KHz) continuously from Fort Collins, Colorado. It is expected that the signal can reach a distance of over 2,000 miles from the transmitter. The atomic clock has a built-in RCC receiver for automatic synchronization of WWVB radio broadcasts. Atomic clocks will always be accurate to within one second when receiving daily WWVB updates.

The outdoor temperature and humidity are displayed by the outdoor sensor, which collects the surrounding outdoor temperature and humidity information through the flowing air and transmits it to the clock. The sensor can wirelessly receive the transmitted signal within a range of 330 feet, so that the family can know the indoor/outdoor temperature and humidity at any time.

We've had the LFF 15" Atomic large characters clock 90 days now and have been thoroughly pleased with it. We've hung ours in a 90yo's bedroom, where having the large digits has been ideal. We liked that it's not backlit seeing as how it's in a bedroom. The LCD numerals are dark and well contrasted against it's slightly blueish hue background. Having the date and day displayed makes great for early morning wake ups/reminders. The dual temperatures and humidity percentages, that we're using for outside & inside (see more momentarily), is awesome, and thus far accurate. The atomic connection has been set-it-and-leave-it thus far (with one daylight "savings" time change under our belt).I am impressed with the range of the sensor sending strength, as it's on opposite ends of our 1430sq ft home with a brick wall and kitchen in between it and the bedroom it's in. i did have to relocate the sensor unit from under an east side eve, as the morning sun was warming it (and/or the brick wall) and skewing the early day temps. I moved it to the north side, which gets zero direct sun year around, and it's matched internet reported temps ever since. Speaking of the sensor, while i like the display of temp & humidity directly on it, note that it's a very small (tiny) display, relatively, so it requires being pretty much in hand's reach distance to read it (i was hoping to be able to see it from inside through our kitchen window, as dual feature, but being LCD and tiny, again, relatively, it didn't work for that for us); being able to compare it with the inside unit is neat though. The occasional pulsing red LED battery indicator is visible from longer distances and is a nifty feature as well. Back to inside, using it as a wall clock, we've not used the alarm or other daily-type options, so can't speak to those. We haven't had low batteries yet, so also can't speak to it's feature of having a low battery notification. We feel we're getting out $65 (+sales tax) worth with it, thus far...

Easiest set up ever for an Atomic clock. I have had 2 SHARP clocks, and while they work well, this LFF start-up was the easiest ever! Put the batteries in, leave it alone! (I even put them in the wrong order - I did the outside ones first). Had temperature & humidity readings immediately and all Atomic clock readings (date, time) in 3 minutes. The numbers are huge and easy to read from a distance. It even went right to daylight savings time, which I argue about with my Sharp clock twice a year. Love it and would definitely purchase a LFF clock again.

On the wall in our dressing room. Tells you all you need to know: Easy to read; both time and outside/indoor temp are accurate. All that's left is asking ALEXA what the weather is and the traffic to work. Dress appropriately for the weather and leave in time to get to work or play. We love this clock!!!

First thank you Amazon for Prime! Received in one day.Had a Doveet Atomic clock from Amazon about a week ago. But then saw the LFF which had larger temp and humidity display but after a few hours comparing the two I found the Doveet unit had larger seconds display. Also the date numbers were much bigger than the full date with year on the LFF unit. While the LFF is a nice clock the Doveet has the 4 batteries in the center with 2 small flip downs on left and right for desk placement.The LFF had batteries on one side and large flip down on the other. Ok if wall mounted but not on a desk or table. Great unit but will keep the Doveet! The LFF will have to go back.

Large readable display from 50 feet away. The only flaws are a lack of backlight and ability to plug-in, but I wasn't able to find any alternatives with those features in an atomic (radio sync) clock.

Wanted to replace my bathroom clock as it was losing time. Decided I needed something that was easy to set up and would give us more info than time. Being retired for a few years, we both tend to lose track of the days and dates. This gives all that and more but the best feature is getting out of the shower, I can easily see the time without glasses. Love this clock!

I purchased this clock for my senior mother. She wanted a clock that was easy to see across the room and give more detailed info besides the time.I found this clock and thought it had the best combination of features for the price. Like many of these large display clocks, the font size is huge: it's extremely easy to see the date and time.The best features are:1. Auto-date/time setting. The atomic clock sync feature worked very good. It took about 30 min. once the batteries were plugged in to set the correct date/time. One of the biggest issues for my mom was setting the time during DST/ST time change.2. Date with year. A lot of the clocks of this type will display the date and day, but hardly any display the year. This clock displays the year, which was a big plus for us.3. Temperature gauge. Not only does the clock give you inside temp & humidity, it has a separate sensor for outdoor temp & humidity.Recommend for any seniors with eyesight challenges or have trouble with not remembering the current date and time.

I was a little nervous when I received the box. It didn't come in a protective Amazon box, just in its own packaging. However the actual clock was packaged nicely in another box and a protective sleeve.After I added the batteries the screen came on instantly and within 30 seconds the time and date automatically showed up. The clock is accurate and the display is clear. I love how big the letters/numbers are, it will make it really easy to read. The unit is very solid and feels high quality. Nice looking clock, easy to read, sets quickly. While all that's good it has one glaring fault for a wall hung clock. Once the batteries are installed and it is hung on a screw in the single wall hanging hole it hangs crooked (low on the right side) due to the battery weight. Sadly some "engineer", and I use the word loosely, balanced the clock sans batteries. I fixed the issue by placing stick on motorcycle weights (2.25 oz.) in the small compartment under the desk stand (placed at the far left of the compartment, vertically) to make the clock hang straight on the wall. Choose wisely!

Very nice standard wall clock. Easy to read and It was easy to setup. It is as accurate as my cell phone time. Very clear and simple to use! Can be used in any part of the house. Im using in my office so I am not late to any meetings. Has an outdoor sensor for temperature which is extra handy.

This is a great clock! It is very easy to read (even without glasses from the long distance). It has all the information, I need (time, date, temperature and humidity inside and outside). The only problem, I have, is to get an atomic signal. When I bring the clock to the window, it is trying to get a signal, but as soon as I bring the clock back to the room, it drops the connection. I guess, it is just a location of my home. Other than that, everything works fine. The clock shows a strong connection with the wireless outdoor sensor.
